Why use FixMyPics?

Here’s a good question we get asked. A point that must be made is that we’re not trying to get anyone not to use professional photography to sell their home or property. We are offering an additional service to fill the gap between having professional photography done, and using the pics that the agent or [...]

Why use FixMyPics?

Here’s a good question we get asked.

A point that must be made is that we’re not trying to get anyone not to use professional photography to sell their home or property.

FixMyPics Example of before and after

We are offering an additional service to fill the gap between having professional photography done, and using the pics that the agent or vendor takes themselves.

Our service takes the non-professional images and makes them look better and more attractive in your on line media as well as printing.

If you look in all the newspapers or websites that advertise real estate, a fair percentage use professional photographers now, but there is still a large percentage that don’t – for whatever reason.

You can generally easily see the difference. They don’t have blue skies unless the day had one naturally, they are often dark, dull, out of perspective etc etc., or they’ve been fixed by the agent themselves, which again is normally fairly easy to pick.

Our service is to enhancethese non-professional images so that when a buyer is looking through the ads, the playing field is much more level when it comes to presentation.

Our very small flat fee structure starts at $13.20 for a basic set of 8 images, returned to you within 24 hours (normally within 12 hours) or we won’t charge you. We also have a money back guarantee.

FixMyPics is not a new service as such. Similar services take days to complete and send the images back, where ours is max 24 hours. Our pricing is based on production retouching, where we get the files in, fix them, then get them back out again. No mucking around.

We don’t spend hours contemplating what we are going to do. We just do it.

It should be noted, that all our services are performed in Australia, we don’t send anything off shore for processing.

If you are supplying artwork for printing on laser paper, i.e. letterheads, be careful not to create designs with too much ink as most laser paper is uncoated and may scuff. Any watermarks should contain at least 4-5% of ink coverage in order to show clearly on a print job.

Canvas Design Instructions – Special

The face area outlined in pink is the front of the print, the wrap area” is the area that wraps around the frame. Our special designs give you a choice of the number of images to be used, as well as optional outlines and background colours.

Click on the grey arrow on the right hand side of the image boxes to open the options area. Click browse button to locate your file, then click upload. Continue to do this until you have uploaded the files you want to use. Depending on file size and your upload speed this may take a little time. Once uploaded you can edit the images (rotation & crop) – click ‘edit’. (Note – ignore pixel size shown here – it’s only preview size.) Once done, click the “x” to return to main window.

You can choose the position of the images after uploading by clicking in the image boxes and clicking the little circle to select. Click “update preview” at any time to see your changes. Depending on image size etc, this may take a little time as there is some resizing and rendering going on in the background to create the on screen preview.

Clicking on the preview will open a larger viewing window which you can right click and download for proofing purposes. Note: the area within the pink outline is the face of the print – the area outside of the pink outline is the wrap area ( to wrap around the frame).

To show the optional outline and/or background colours, click to open their sections, click on ‘colour picker’ then ‘Choose a color’ – a window will open where you can choose a colour by moving the slider and the little circle, click on ‘Select’ to return to main window. Click “update preview” again to see your results.

Please note that no matter what combination of either outlines or background colour you use, each image has a permanent white border which makes them stand out more against any background.

You can play here as much as you like – upload more images, crop or rotate them, change colour combinations etc. When you are finished you can move on to selecting the product choices in the bottom section of the product page, then add to your shopping cart.
